Pain point

Reviewing vendor-submitted Scopes of Work (SoW) and Business Requirement Documents (BRD) is a regular, tedious, fully manual task — these documents are often lengthy and dense, and a thorough line-by-line review can take hours. The longer the review, the higher the risk: a single contradictory line item can slip through, a requirement can be misread, or vague wording gets accepted as-is — issues that only surface later as project disputes, rework, or delivery gaps. No automation currently supports any part of this process, and review quality depends entirely on the reviewer's available time and attention.

Proposed solution

Pair Claude's review capabilities with Power Automate to streamline how documents are reviewed, while keeping every decision in human hands. An analyst uploads a document into a purpose-built Claude review artifact, which reads it in full and flags any statement that's inconsistent, vague, or potentially non-compliant with CBK frameworks and applicable commercial banking guidelines, with a rationale attached to each flag. The analyst places the reviewed output into a designated SharePoint folder, which triggers a Power Automate flow that converts each finding into a trackable item in a SharePoint list. From there the workflow is fully human-governed: the analyst assigns an owner to each finding, the manager is automatically asked to approve the list, and analysts record feedback directly against each item. If a finding is challenged, it's routed to the manager, who either dismisses it or upholds it. Once all findings are aligned, the finalized list is automatically shared with the document owner to apply the agreed corrections. Accountability for every judgment stays with the bank's people — AI accelerates the review, it doesn't replace the decision.
